Deepening Roots Organic Gardening Internship
Deepening Roots is a intensive multi-disciplinary 4 week summer internship in Quebec that focuses on community-oriented sustainable agriculture together with leadership development, meditation and nutrition.
The core curriculum consists of:
1) practical experience working in an existing 2-acre organic garden
2) workshops in the latest techniques in organic agriculture and permaculture
3) formal exposure to healthy nutrition and sustainable living
In addition, interns participate in unique leadership training that develops core competencies in communication, conflict resolution, managing stress and team building. This prepares interns to effectively face the myriad of challenges of applying the skills and concepts learned during the internship and of promoting sustainable change at a local level.

Session 2: July 31-August 28, 2009
