Friends of the UBC Farm is hosting an All-Candidates Meeting for candidates for Director of Electoral Area A, UBC’s representative to the GVRD/Metro Van. Please join us tonight, November 6th, in the Conversation Pit (first floor, between the Art Gallery and Bernoulli’s Bagels) of the Student Union Building (SUB). from 6:30 to 7:00pm for refreshments an opportunity for casual conversation with the candidates. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00pm. This is an opportunity to hear the candidates discuss questions directly related to their position on the UBC Farm and the campus planning process.
The election of a candidate for Electoral District A is a very important decision for those who care about the Farm, especially since Metro Vancouver recently unanimously passed a resolution to write a letter in support of the UBC Farm at its current size and location! The next Metro Van board will have a very important role keeping UBCs Planning fair and relevant.
