In light of St Patrick’s Day, which is coming up soon…We’re excited to be hosting our first ever beer brewing and coaster making event! Danny Seeton, a UBC graduate student, will be showing us the process and steps of making home-brewed beer! Danny is also very knowledgeable about the history of brewing, and by the end of the workshop you’ll have learned the basics of a valuable new folk-skill and picked up some interesting stories about the cultural history of home brewing to share at St. Paddy’s Day events.
Additionally, we will be making coasters from alder branches that you can use for the beer that you make, or for a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. Please RSVP to friendsoftheubcfarm@gmail.com by Tuesday, March 8th so we know the amount of materials we need to bring.
